Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Rocca Borromeo will be open every day from 22nd March to 20th October 2019.

Pallavicino Park will be open every day from 22nd March to 3rd November 2019.

Opening times

Isola Bella, Isola Madre, Rocca di Angera: every day from 9:00 AM to 17:30 PM (last entrance).

Pallavicino Park will be open from 22 March to 29 September, from 9.00 to 17.30 (Last admission). The Park closes at 19.00. From 30 September to 3 November from 9.00 to 16.30 (Last admission). The park will close at 18.00.

*CHILDREN: from 6 to 15 years of age. Free entrance for children under 6 years of age. **ADULT GROUP: minimum 18 people. One free entrance for every 18 paying adults. ***SCHOOL: one teacher can enter free for every 13 paying pupils.

  • Borromean Isles and Pallavicino Park

    • By car

      A8 motorway (Autostrada dei Laghi), direction Gravellona Toce, exit at Carpugnino, follow the signs for Stresa.

      The Pallavicino Park has its own parking area.

    • By boat

      there are ferryboats from all the main towns around the lake.

    • By train

      Ferrovie dello Stato (state railways), Milan-Sempione line, Stresa stop, then continue by ferry.

      Alternatively: Ferrovie Nord, Milan-Laveno line, Laveno stop.

      The Stresa railway station is 800m from the Pallavicino Park.

    • By coach

      VB - Arona - Milan line (departure from Milan Lampugnano, B5 stop) or Verbania - Stresa - Malpensa (by reservation). For info

      distance from the main airports: Turin Caselle 140 km - Milan Malpensa 50 km - Milan Linate 110 km - Bergamo Orio Al Serio 130 km.

  • Mottarone Park

    • By car

      A8 - Autostrada dei Laghi towards Gravellona Toce, exit the motorway at Carpugnino, then follow directions to Gignese-Mottarone through the "Borromea" scenic toll road (8 km).

      Alternatively, after the Carpugnino exit follow directions to Gignese - Armeno - Mottarone (approx. 22 km).

    • By cableway

      the cableway starts from Piazzale Lido, in the village of Carciano di Stresa. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the altitude of 1,491m. For info

    • By car

      A8 motorway (Autostrada dei Laghi) direction Gravellona Toce, Sesto Calende exit, continue on state road 629 to Angera, where access to the Fortress is sign-posted.

    • By boat
